Monica Diaz-Greco

Monica Diaz-Greco is a seasoned educator in Toronto and a passionate advocate for epilepsy awareness and support. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Hon. B.A. (2000) and an M.RE. (2010) and is currently completing a Master in Theological Studies degree. She also has a B.Ed. (2002) from the University of Ottawa. As the mother of a child with epilepsy, Monica has dedicated herself to raising awareness, supporting families, and driving systemic change. Alongside her husband, Daniel, she founded Emma IS, a non-profit named for their daughter, Emma, which works to increase awareness of epilepsy and Infantile Spasms while raising funds for IS research. Monica’s advocacy extends to pushing for changes in Ontario’s educational policies and empowering other parents to find their voices and advocate for their children. Through her work, she strives to create a community of support and drive lasting change for families affected by epilepsy.
